Job Summary
Manage production activities within the sheet metal fabrication department, including resource planning, allocation, and utilization to meet weekly manufacturing plans. Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing techniques and oversee daily shop clean-up and machine preventive maintenance. Resolve quality issues by identifying root causes, implementing corrective measures, and ensuring work instructions are followed. Address safety concerns, monitor attendance, and handle grievances while motivating team members through performance evaluations and cross-training. Lead manpower planning for operators and lead-hands, ensuring effective training and development of lead-hands to manage hour-by-hour operations.
Required Qualifications
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- 3+ years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high volume, multi-product environment preferably in sheet metal and HVAC
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- College Degree or High School with 5 years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
