Job Summary
Lead assigned production areas in the greenhouse and packhouse, managing daily schedules, labor, and pacing to meet site production targets. Conduct team meetings to set daily plans, monitor output throughout shifts, and adjust operations to achieve efficiency goals. Supervise hourly staff, oversee full-shift operations, and handle hiring, performance management, and corrective actions. Execute food safety protocols, maintain GMP compliance, and complete required logs and inspections. Monitor inventory levels, perform ERP counts, and coordinate replenishment while ensuring equipment readiness and safe work environments.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced CPG manufacturing environment, fresh foods and/or greenhouse, agriculture, farming operations
- 1 year of leadership supervisory experience of non-exempt workforce
- Demonstrated experience with ERP and inventory control
- High standards for food safety and quality control
- Leads by example to build team morale and engagement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, Sage, HRIS time management systems
- Ability to work in production environments and in hot/cold temperatures
- Use required personal protective equipment and set model example
- Great multitasking abilities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attentive, organized and an eye for detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work assigned shifts and provide weekend, holiday, off-shift, and emergency coverage when business needs require
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Food safety, HACCP, PCQI, OSHA, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operations or compliance training
- Spanish bilingual
