Job Summary
Oversee donated goods processing, production workflow, pricing, staging, and back-room organization at the assigned HOT Goodwill retail store. Ensure incoming donations are accurately sorted, priced, tagged, and prepared for sales floor readiness while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Coordinate product rotation with store leadership, support merchandise flow and recovery needs, and lead production operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Provide daily guidance and coaching to retail associates and program participants, model professional leadership, and communicate effectively with employees, customers, donors, and the public. Safeguard company equipment and property, complete departmental reports, and address operational concerns to support store performance. Works various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and extended periods of standing and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities
- Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Demonstrated ability to assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory, merchandising, and staffing
- Experience coaching and supporting team members to achieve performance goals
- Familiarity with loss prevention, safety procedures, and adherence to company policies
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, including the ability to handle escalated customer or operational issues
- Ability to support administrative tasks, scheduling, and achievement of store performance objectives
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, percentages, and basic pricing calculations
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail production environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to complete assignments accurately and on time
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedural manuals, and reports
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers
- Ability to support accurate pricing, counting, sorting, and staging of donated goods
- Ability to safely operate or work around production equipment, carts, bins, racks, and other store equipment as assigned
- Must be willing to accept instructions and carry them out with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work cooperatively with others
- Must be able to identify potential problem areas and implement procedures to reduce their impact on store operations and HOT Goodwill
- Regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
