Production Supervisor - Floater (SLI)

Job Summary
Coordinate production activities for battery manufacturing, enforce safety regulations, and manage emergency responses including fire, medical, and weather incidents. Establish work schedules based on machine capacity and manpower, monitor productivity, and approve employee timecards for payroll. Control quality by reducing scrap and defects, verify production paperwork, and implement corrective actions for non-conformities. Perform daily housekeeping, operate forklifts, and train new employees while maintaining compliance with the Crown Quality System. Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, standing for 8-10 hours daily, reporting directly to the Assistant Manufacturing Superintendent.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Experience with safety and environmental training
- Ability to obtain a forklift/manlift license
- Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management
- Familiar with inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring tools
- Mechanically inclined and able to use different types of hand tools
- Proven work history and good attendance record
- Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear
- Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department
- Must be available to support all three shifts as operational needs require
- Ability to work weekend and holiday duty as designated
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
