Job Summary
Champion a zero-injury culture by proactively identifying risks, holding team members accountable for safety practices and PPE, and fostering an environment of excellence in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost. Lead, inspire, and mentor frontline staff by coaching for daily growth, maintaining open communication, and ensuring they have the tools needed to deliver goals. Own the execution of the business plan to meet daily operational objectives, monitor production processes for improvement, and lead lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and downtime. Ensure all team members are effectively trained and that resources are utilized to minimize interruptions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- At least 5 years of operations experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of experience directly or indirectly leading frontline team members in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance through Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Daily Management practices, and related continuous-improvement tools
Desired Qualifications
- 10 or more years preferred
- Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
