Job Summary
Oversee hourly employees on the 7pm-7am night shift, enforcing safety, quality, GMP, and company policies while resolving production and quality issues. Manage shift functions including personnel training, development, security, inventory, and housekeeping to meet plant productivity and labor utilization goals. Exercise independent judgment on hiring, transfers, discipline, and complaints per established procedures, and review time records for all shift employees. Optimize manufacturing efficiencies by developing new methods, managing machine utilization, and recommending equipment or personnel changes. Assist plant management in reviewing shift operations, conducting physical inventories, and attending production and safety meetings. Maintain a supportive work atmosphere through effective communication with internal and external customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree
- related operations experience
- equivalent combination of education and related operations experience
- minimum of 2 years' experience in an operations supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment
- demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
- Computer usage and typing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
