Job Summary
Production Supervisor responsible for assisting the Production Manager in all aspects of dough production operations, supervising and mentoring the production team, ensuring safety, OSHA compliance, and food-safety training, and maintaining dough formula standardization. Will recruit and interview staff, lead during the Production Manager’s absence, monitor training on dough production, temperature checks, and dough weights; compile daily production indicators and reports (pounds per man hour, overtime, trays per hour, total trays, total hours); manage inventory and ordering of production supplies; coordinate with chemical and flour/oil vendors; drive process improvements to production workflows, ensure GMPs and PPE usage, and support a 24-hour operation with potential on-call shifts. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 2-3 years of production/manufacturing experience, 2-3 years of supervisory experience, dough certification, and the ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of bakery or manufacturing experience
- 2-3 years of documented supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Must become and maintain dough certification
- Willingness to support a 24-hour operation
- Be on call including emergency cell phone as needed
- Background checks every third year on anniversary date
- Ability to work full-time/flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
