Job Summary
Conduct daily manufacturing supervision to verify product conformance to specifications while ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures are followed. Organize and coordinate departmental workflow during shifts, supervise equipment operation according to safety procedures, and identify or report unsafe conditions immediately. Lead a high-performing team by establishing expectations, monitoring performance, interviewing, hiring, and addressing employee complaints. Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency, pursue cost reduction methods, and drive continuous improvement to achieve quality and production goals. Perform duties in a climate-controlled environment with exposure to light industrial fumes, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- One -year certificate from college or technical school
- 1 – 2 years' related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
