Job Summary
Lead daily operations of the aerosol production facility in Blue Island, Illinois, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing while achieving production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Serve as the primary communicator between the site and company leadership, directing production personnel, assigning work, and providing real-time floor leadership. Create and maintain training programs, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure all products meet Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate production records, manage timekeeping documentation, and enforce safety standards for flammable propellants and pressurized components. Participate in workforce planning and hiring activities, conduct safety investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requires five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and flexibility to work extended hours.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under broad operational guidelines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide both strategic direction and direct floor-level supervision
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills related to manufacturing processes and equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in employee selection, performance management, discipline, and termination processes
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe manufacturing practices, including those applicable to flammable and pressurized materials
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity and spend extended periods on the production floor
- Proficiency with standard office and computer equipment
- Flexibility to work extended hours as operational needs require
Desired Qualifications
- aerosol, chemical, or personal care manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with safety and storage standards applicable to aerosol manufacturing (e.g., NFPA 30B)
