Job Summary
Lead daily production operations in the Blanket Department by supervising activities, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with maintenance to resolve equipment issues. Assign work, set priorities, and adjust staffing to meet production goals while monitoring quality and ensuring products meet specifications. Train employees, administer progressive discipline, and maintain accurate documentation of performance and attendance. Lead Tier 1 shift meetings, support QMS requirements, and enforce the Collective Bargaining Agreement consistently. Work M-F from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on the production floor in a textile environment, requiring active presence and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of workplace safety practices and the ability to enforce established safety policies and procedures
- Minimum of five years of production management experience, preferably overseeing multiple shifts in a unionized environment
- Experience with performance management, employee coaching, corrective action, and employee documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce, address employee concerns, and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Excel, and the ability to effectively use company timekeeping and other business systems
- M-F 7:00 AM-3:30PM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience monitoring and achieving performance KPIs
- Knowledge of Lean or similar continuous improvement practices
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or an equivalent Quality Management System (QMS)
