Job Summary
Lead and supervise a workforce of 70+ employees in a USDA-FSIS inspected meat processing facility, overseeing daily production operations including scheduling, labor allocation, and performance management. Open and close the facility, coordinate startup activities, and ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and OSHA requirements while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Monitor production schedules, adjust staffing as needed, and enforce safety standards to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets. Conduct shift meetings, coach associates, and address operational issues to minimize downtime. This highly visible floor-focused role requires approximately 95% of working time on the production floor, with a 6-day work week. Bilingual (English/Spanish) experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in production, manufacturing, or food processing environments
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-shift operation
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and quality control processes
- Ability to manage production schedules and meet performance targets
- Ability to work a 6-day schedule with flexible hours
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting tools preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred or required (adjust based on need)
