Job Summary
Lead site operations by making critical decisions to maximize efficiency, managing attendance, and resolving minor disputes. Supervise department leads daily, coach on safety and quality protocols, and audit team work to ensure compliance with regulations. Evaluate employee performance, adjust staffing levels and shift schedules to meet production demand, and implement continuous improvement methodologies. Write and update work instructions while ensuring hazardous and non-hazardous waste management meets all regulatory guidelines. This role requires a decision-maker mindset to troubleshoot issues and remove roadblocks, utilizing 5S and Lean practices to sustain process improvements. You will also handle corrective actions for employee conduct and foster a culture of safety and growth within the manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous supervisor/manager experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Associate's degree
- Competency and confidence utilizing applicable computerized systems such as MS Office Excel, Outlook, Word, SAP
- Frequent sitting, standing, bending/twisting of neck and waist, squatting and kneeling
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects from floor, conveyor, vehicle, table, or overhead location
- Climbing/descending stairs
- Occasional lifting of 10-75 lbs. (1 hour) throughout shift
