Job Summary

Coordinate and steer electronics production associates while enforcing company standards and prioritizing work based on the production schedule. Schedule risk identification and mitigation to minimize production interruptions and reduce downtime for product and personnel. Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective action plans. Optimize product flow through the factory and identify defects within the area value stream. Review drawings and technical data packages for manufacturability, providing feedback to engineering teams to support the transition from prototyping to full-scale production. Improve area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing, production, or logistics environment in lieu of degree or 2+ years of experience at SpaceX
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team or project
  • Must be available for one of the following shifts (start and end times are approximate): A Shift – 5:00am-5:00pm, Sunday-Wednesday; B Shift – 5:00am-5:00pm, Wednesday-Saturday; C Shift – 5:00pm-5:00am, Sunday-Wednesday; D Shift – 5:00pm-5:00am, Wednesday-Saturday
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Able to travel for business trips up to 10% on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
  • Must be willing to work onsite, remote work not considered
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing, production, or logistics environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team or project
  • Lean manufacturing training and experience
  • Experience monitoring, tracking, and continually improving total cost equation
  • Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles and efficiency methods
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret controlled documentation and processes such as: Cable harnesses, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, GD&T, assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis
  • PCBA, harness, electro-mechanical assembly, optical component manufacturing, and prototype development experience
  • Experience preferred in fast-paced consumer electronics production environment
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient with computers, the ability to use MS Office, shop floor management software (ERP) and related programs
