Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the Solenoid production department by coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations. Perform quality control inspections, testing, and maintain accurate production records while conducting internal audits. Ship coils, manage inventory levels, and communicate material needs to support continuous improvement efforts. Provide direction to team members, train new employees, and prepare performance reports for management. Operate precision measuring instruments and equipment in a manufacturing environment requiring lifting up to 40 pounds. Work Monday through Friday with potential overtime, weekends, or off-shifts based on production demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three to five years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to move throughout the Solenoid Division production area
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in electromechanical assembly, solenoid manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to analyze production metrics and implement performance improvements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and environmental compliance requirements
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
