Job Summary
Lead day-to-day activities for gas cylinder processing, ultrasonic testing, and route planning at the San Leandro production location. Coordinate tasks with associates to meet customer needs and stock levels, while maintaining production records and creating load sheets for drivers. Ensure compliance with FDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and SAFECOR regulations by driving a zero-accident safety culture and interpreting company policies. Guide new hires through onboarding and cross-training, evaluate team capacity against production schedules, and assist the Branch Manager with capital investment planning and driver ride-alongs. Manage inventory levels and process delivery orders in the SAP system to optimize cylinder utilization and replenishment routes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years industry related experience and/or training within a distribution or industrial production environment
- A minimum of one year of demonstrated leadership experience
- Proficiency in the operation of a forklift (appropriate certifications will be maintained)
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior technical experience with compressed gases, gas analysis and gas lab equipment
- Prior experience utilizing SAP
- Intermediate knowledge of Google suite applications (GMAIL, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of how to leverage metrics to improve production effectiveness
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to contribute effectively to a fast-paced environment and meet team deadlines
