Production Supervisor (Afternoon Shift)

Job Summary

Direct daily operations for the stamping shift by supervising workers operating manufacturing machines and managing assigned targets. Coordinate material issuance and receipt on the production floor while ensuring accurate team location of parts. Address safety concerns immediately, enforce protective gear compliance, and execute weekly safety audits and inspections. Train new hires on day shift, lead continuous improvement efforts, and drive efficiencies through standard operating procedures. Monitor ERP/MRP transactions, resolve production issues, and perform end-of-shift shutdowns. Work Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with occasional Friday coverage and day shift training required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • 2+ Years in leadership role responsible for 4 or more personnel in manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to train on day shift for first few weeks
  • Required to work occasionally on Fridays as per business needs
  • Shift Monday to Thursday 4:00PM – 2:30AM
  • Location MiTek Canada Head Office/ Plant 240 Stirling Crescent Bradford, ON, L3Z 4L5
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Execute safety walks and weekly safety audits
  • Ensure team members are performing inspections correctly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Actively engage in training and on-the-job development opportunities
  • Ensure ERP/MRP production transactions are done correctly and in a timely manner
  • Identify areas for improvement and lead efforts to drive efficiencies
  • Maintain positive employee relations
  • Adhere to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Work closely with other Plant departments to address and resolve issues
  • Work with local manufacturing engineering group to implement efficient and effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ Years experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
  • Experience in MRP Software
  • Experience in RF Scanners
  • Forklift experience
