Job Summary
Directs development and implementation of production activities to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply. Supervises day-to-day manufacturing personnel, develops training and productivity improvements through Lean techniques, interprets specifications/blueprints, assigns duties, plans material flow, and drives measures to improve methods and safety. Interfaces with cross-functional teams to ensure customer deadlines are met and leads continuous improvement through manufacturing metrics, problem solving, and lean practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years in a manufacturing/production environment with at least 4 years in a Supervisory role
- Demonstrated leadership in a mid-volume discrete manufacturing operations
- Understanding of ISO quality systems
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record
- Two-year AA or AS degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement training desired
