Job Summary
Supervise production team members and direct daily activities of production workers within a single line or area for one shift. Ensure compliance with company policies, plant rules, safety regulations, and production procedures while monitoring operations to maintain quality standards. Review production orders, quantities, and specifications to plan department operations, establish priorities, and coordinate manufacturing activities. Inspect machines for proper performance, compile production data, and develop standard operational practices. Provide orientation, coaching, and training to employees, address performance matters, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards throughout the area. This role requires the ability to read production reports and interpret specifications. The position involves working the 3rd shift (6:30 pm - 6 am) and overtime as needed. Adient is a global leader in automotive seating, producing components for major OEMs.
Required Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of production operations, safety standards, quality requirements, and equipment utilization
- Ability to read and interpret production orders, reports, specifications, and operating procedures
- Ability to coach, train, and direct team members effectively
- Must be willing to follow all company policies, plant rules, safety procedures, and attendance requirements
- Must be willing to work assigned shift and overtime as needed
- Able to work the 3rd shift: 6:30 pm - 6 am
