Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Conduct daily stand-up meetings to verify employee readiness, perform stretch and flex exercises, and identify motion concerns. Enforce the work hardening policy by scheduling new hires for 40 hours weekly for the first 30 days and assist in safety investigations for any infraction. Own root cause analysis for rejected poles, present findings to management, and partner with Quality to implement corrective actions. Plan daily task assignments, execute weekly schedules, and prepare time sheets, production summaries, and overtime reports. Monitor personnel performance, ensure safety and quality standards, and foster a continuous productivity improvement climate.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Associates Degree with 7+ years relevant experience
  • 9+ years relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics/distribution environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to support divisional business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to recognize and solve practical problems and/or issues
  • Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
  • Ability to effectively interpret and present information both one-on-one and in front of an audience
  • Ability to calculate figures such as pay changes for employees, proportions and percentages, and product dimensions

Desired Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in a supervisory position
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or logistic operations environment
  • Practical hands on experience in Lean Manufacturing
