Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Lead daily manufacturing operations on the third shift to safely meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments. Model safe behaviors, conduct safety meetings, lead audits, and ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, FDA, and company procedures. Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of hourly production employees while managing workforce activities such as staffing, attendance, overtime, and shift communications. Coordinate production priorities, assign resources, and adjust workflows to maximize productivity. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve production challenges and drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving tools. Monitor production metrics to identify opportunities for improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Administer the collective bargaining agreement and build positive relationships within the union environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience
- One (1) or more years of supervisory, team lead, or other manufacturing leadership experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead by example and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Sunday – Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, including rotating weekend on-call coverage
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Safety Standards
- Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout their employment
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Higher level education or certifications
- Experience supervising employees in a union manufacturing environment
- Experience interpreting and administering a collective bargaining agreement
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, food, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and ISO quality systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, drive process improvements, and lead organizational change
