Production Supervisor, 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Oversee daily aerospace manufacturing operations on the production floor, ensuring work completes safely, efficiently, and in compliance with AS9102 quality standards and customer specifications. Provide communication between the shop floor and internal support groups to address information requests, quality issues, schedule priorities, and delivery performance. Monitor shop schedules, input ECDs and status notes daily, track queue days, and process employee timecards. Lead and mentor direct reports on hiring, training, performance appraisals, and problem resolution while enforcing safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and productivity gains through lean activities and continuous change management initiatives. Maintain work staging areas, ensure operators have necessary tools and materials, and utilize authority to stop production orders for quality concerns.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical documents
- Willingness to apply hands-on approach in supporting customer activities and to step in when needed, not just observe
- Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful when under pressure
- Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management while working in a fast-paced environment
- Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and dedication to supporting customer requirements
- Quality orientated, must understand requirements of AS9102
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five years supervision experience in aerospace manufacturing background or equivalent
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Previous experience in production environment leadership role required
- Previous computer use required
Desired Qualifications
- MRP or ERP system experience preferred
- Aviation background preferred
