Job Summary
Oversee daily manufacturing operations at the Bensenville Plant, coordinating production schedules via IFS ERP and managing workforce assignments to meet productivity, quality, and safety targets. Supervise associates through shift handovers, monitor raw material requisitions, and coordinate cross-departmental flow while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and good manufacturing practices. Complete daily reports on downtime and problems, address mechanical breakdowns with contractors, and lead accident investigations. Requires bilingual English/Spanish skills, experience in a unionized food or pharmaceutical environment, and ability to work overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
- 4 years minimum supervisory job experience in confectionary, food or pharmaceutical companies
- Mechanical knowledge, including high-speed packaging machinery knowledge in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends and other shifts
- Must have PC knowledge, including Word, Excel, Power Point and order-processing systems
- Must be able to stand and walk 8 hours per day and able to lift 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- A 4-year college degree
- Experience in a union environment
