Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Collaborate on daily production and shipping schedules while monitoring process performance to identify gaps and initiate corrective actions. Lead employees in meeting throughput and quality standards through clear communication, training, and accountability enforcement. Coordinate activities with maintenance and quality teams to optimize equipment performance and address machine downtime promptly. Conduct plant walk-throughs to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, safety protocols, and FDA regulations. Complete daily paperwork including log sheets, accident reports, and status reports for the plant manager. Perform organoleptic testing on finished products and assist operators in achieving efficiency targets. Manage time and attendance records while arranging shift coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) certificate, or international equivalent
- Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule
- Must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds
- Must be physically able to consume and evaluate a wide variety of food ingredients, including potential allergens (e.g., dairy, wheat, soy, nuts) processed in the facility
- Must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds
- Must be able to taste, smell, see, and feel product samples to detect deviations in flavor, aroma, color, and texture
- Must be able to work in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature
- Must be able to contact with water or dairy liquids
- Must be able to tolerate a noise level of 90 decibels
- Must be able to work in wet/slippery work conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of related supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience with exposure to continuous improvement practices, lean manufacturing, and statistical methods preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
