Job Summary
Manage assigned production departments to manufacture quality products on time and at requisite cost while directly supervising employee safety through strict enforcement of policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures. Coordinate with other supervisors to maximize total manufacturing output, prepare annual and departmental expense budgets, and develop manpower plans to meet production objectives. Cross-train employees across all production aspects, lead pre-shift and post-shift meetings for continuous communication, and ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures and quality compliance policies. Report quality issues and unsafe conditions to proper personnel while maintaining awareness of product compliance laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- 10 years successful supervisor experience in a directly related, multi-shift operation
- Ability to prioritize tasks, assign personnel across multiple shifts and monitor for timely and cost-effective completion
- Strong understanding of production processes and equipment
- Ability to adequately direct production personnel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks through others
- High proficiency with database entry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
