Job Summary
Conduct daily floor inspections to identify unsafe conditions and lead safety audits ensuring HACCP and USDA compliance. Enforce food safety plans, train employees on lock-out/tag-out procedures, and guide hourly staff to meet production targets and quality standards. Track yields, analyze variances, and optimize workflows to minimize downtime and reduce costs while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Lead monthly line meetings and walk the production floor daily to maintain alignment on objectives. This role involves 2nd shift coverage with up to 5% travel, requiring adaptability to varying environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Solid analytical and math abilities
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Capable of working in varying conditions (heat and cold)
- Willing to work long hours and weekends when needed
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
