Job Summary
Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift at Serta Simmons Bedding oversees and facilitates production operations for the assigned area, manages production teams and schedules, coaches employees, ensures optimal material flow, and maintains GMP and SQDC compliance. Responsibilities include reviewing schedules, coordinating time/attendance, leading daily cell meetings, driving improvement to meet quality and production goals, identifying bottlenecks, implementing corrective measures, developing talent, and serving as a link between associates and management to support organizational changes. Requires manufacturing experience, people leadership, lean principles, and strong communication.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in Manufacturing
- 3-5 years of people leadership
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principles, tools, and applications
- Applicable knowledge of performance management methods
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop talent
- Demonstrated ability to employ process problem solving tools to determine root cause and implement countermeasures
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict
- Demonstrated ability to execute against production playbooks
- Effective oral and written communication
