Job Summary
Production Supervisor on 2nd shift at Rise Baking Company in Lancaster, NY, responsible for managing the shift operation including production and packaging of finished goods, supervising production associates, coordinating schedules, training, coaching, and driving adherence to GMPs, SOPs, quality, and food safety standards. Will monitor performance across productivity, cost, quality, safety, and attendance; manage direct labor and production efficiencies within the shift budget; address equipment downtime; participate in pre-operation audits; maintain safe working conditions; collaborate with Human Resources on personnel and performance issues; support the food safety program and legality of manufactured products; and perform additional duties as assigned. The role requires leadership experience in production (2–5 years), knowledge or familiarity with SQF/BRC/AIB standards is desirable, strong computer skills (ERP, WMS, MS Office), and the ability to communicate effectively in English (Spanish helpful). The position runs Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm–2:30am, with an annual salary range of $70,000–$80,000 plus benefits and incentive opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2–5 years of leadership experience in production, preferably in the food industry, or manufacturing experience required
- SQF, BRC, or AIB certification knowledge desired
- Strong computer skills including experience with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed with the ability to work without close supervision
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful
