Job Summary
Lead and motivate the production team to fulfill operating procedures, meet schedules, and develop members into an efficient structure. Direct labor force to hit shift goals and deadlines while ensuring QA, production, sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and safety policies are followed correctly. Address food safety and occupational safety concerns with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams. Manage shift efficiency, mentor team members, and coordinate training to promote satisfactory performance. Work with HR to hire and retain top performers, issuing performance reviews, pay increases, and discipline per company policies. Cover fellow shift leads' absences and serve as backup for the Production Manager. Report daily production performance and opportunities to plant leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising other employees
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
