Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Lead set up and changeover activity on machinery and support production to ensure operators follow standard work instructions and meet quality specifications. Audit compliance with process control plans, maintain production information within the ERP system, and monitor activity against customer demand and inventory goals. Lead department scheduling, review unplanned scrap to identify root causes, and champion the safety program by coordinating statutory training. Oversee direct reports through professional development and periodic evaluation, while promoting Lean Manufacturing tools and visual factory tools. Actively solicit employee suggestions to develop and implement product and process improvements, ensuring all activities integrate with organizational requirements for quality, health, safety, and legal stipulations. Execute responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years supervisory experience preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required (Metal stamping, fabrication, or fastener manufacturing preferred)
- Previous experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges,etc) required
- Mechanical aptitude and previous experience troubleshooting machinery required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) required
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work Saturday Overtime
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (Metal stamping, fabrication, or fastener manufacturing preferred)
