Job Summary
Conduct daily production oversight for receiving, order processing, production, and shipping while enforcing safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance with USDA, QA, and facility standards. Lead hourly associates through mentorship, coaching, and performance management to drive engagement, retention, and lean manufacturing initiatives that reduce waste and contamination risks. Maintain accurate records of output, quality metrics, and attendance while collaborating with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to minimize downtime and optimize labor usage. Ensure all products meet HACCP, GMP, and ISO specifications through rigorous adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and corrective actions for non-conformances.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment
- 1+ year in a supervisory role
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree candidates with no manufacturing experience must have at least 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on associate development
- In depth knowledge of quality control processes and compliance standards (i.e. ISO, OSHA, etc.)
- Awareness and willingness to learn lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be available to work 2nd shift hours
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- Poultry or Protein production experience
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, OSHA 10/30 or similar certifications
