Job Summary
Production Supervisor on 2nd shift at an established manufacturing facility. Under direct supervision of the department supervisor, will assist hourly employees in achieving quality, productivity, and performance goals. Responsibilities include operating equipment, setting up processes, coordinating staffing, mentoring and training staff, ensuring safety and OSHA-compliant practices, maintaining production data and paperwork, collaborating with multiple departments, driving continuous improvement projects, troubleshooting issues, leading DIM meetings, and supporting new product and process development on the production floor. Strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and adherence to manufacturing procedures and safety protocols to maintain efficient and safe operations across the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate equipment and perform setup tasks
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff on the production floor
- Collaborate with multiple departments to coordinate staffing and production planning
- Commitment to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a high-paced environment
- Experience with production data recording and reporting
- Troubleshooting production issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to train and develop hourly employees
- Knowledge of paperwork related to production area
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team player with diverse personalities and strong communication skills
- Experience coordinating preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
- Experience with inventory management and material handling coordination
