Job Summary
Lead and coordinate plant operations in a quarry environment to meet production targets; monitor and optimize the performance of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment; partner with maintenance to address breakdowns and minimize downtime; drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, material quality, and cost efficiency across plant operations; maintain accurate production, inventory, and shift reports; ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and company standards; promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing safe work practices and leading by example; provide direction and support to plant personnel, fostering teamwork, accountability, and operational discipline on 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in aggregates, mining, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred
- Working knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying systems, and mobile or stationary plant equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead crews in a high-production quarry environment
- Ability to interpret production data, identify trends, and make real-time operational decisions
- Solid understanding of safety standards and regulations (MSHA experience preferred)
- Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, outdoor operation
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and operations teams
- This position operates in an outdoor quarry and plant environment with exposure to moving equipment, varying weather conditions, dust, and elevated noise levels
