Production Supervisor (2nd shift)

Job Summary
Lead production of multiple process lines in a highly technical environment, evaluating daily plant operating performance to advise on efficiency and quality improvements. Manage a team of engineers and officers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements while troubleshooting operational problems and coaching junior operators. Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply, and initiate process development and cost improvement projects. Collaborate with engineers on project proposals and act as the principal interface between operations and maintenance. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by directing individuals on equipment use and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate telephones, data entry, office software including, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and data base systems
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to collect data, establish facts, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and draw valid conclusions
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
