Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Receives daily production schedules from planning and material from logistics to coordinate resources for on-time, quality product output within budget. Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in the production process while managing controllable operating expenditures like scrap and consumables. Guides teams to continuously improve processes, ensures return to work interviews and disciplinary hearings are conducted timely, and provides direction to subordinates using established guidelines. Leads, trains, and motivates diverse employees to achieve high production levels within tight deadlines in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Four to six years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used in the process
- Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit (WOR/MOR/RCCP)
- Knowledge of ISO Standards and Company Contiuous Improvement Initiatives
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment
- Ability to use some or all of the following PC applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Powerpoint
