Job Summary
Direct and manage assembly area manufacturing activities to achieve plant objectives, ensuring all products meet established specifications for quality, functionality, and lead time. Maintain metrics, expectations, and accountabilities of direct reports while measuring internal performance indicators such as productivity and labor efficiencies. Schedule daily work activities and accurately maintain work schedules, ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory agencies. Enforce company General Manufacturing Practices and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe facility with regular training for employee protection. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and work on assigned projects to improve productivity and develop training programs. Provide a motivational team environment with strong leadership skills in a low volume, high mix environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
- 2+ years of equivalent experience
- Strong supervisory skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Good problem solver with the ability to analyze data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and functional areas
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Machining knowledge
- Large electro/mechanical equipment knowledge
- Has demonstrated Lean experience
