Job Summary
Oversee daily production operations for slide and specialty glass products, ensuring manufacturing orders are completed with accuracy and variance review. Maintain a safe work environment through 6S implementation, safety audits, and continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN tools. Lead cell leaders and team members by providing direction, mentoring, and coaching to improve leadership skills and adherence to standard work procedures. Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and employee relations while documenting performance reviews and counseling as required. Develop and present management reports to measure department production and recommend business improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 5+ years of manufacturing/production supervisors experience
- Knowledge, training or experience in Lean manufacturing
- Very knowledgeable regarding the material planning processes and information flows in the designated Value Stream
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
- Experience in data collection, measuring, analysis, improvement and control
- Ability to conduct critical analysis and assessments to develop strategic action plans that ensure efficient, lean, and effective processes are in place to produce quality products
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Standing for extended periods of time, including bending and twisting
Desired Qualifications
- ISO 9000, ISO13485, FDA experience is preferred
