Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate manufacturing department activities while monitoring operations to make immediate performance adjustments. Drive a culture of safety by ensuring OSHA compliance, managing near-miss reporting, and acting as an emergency responder for shift incidents. Plan, assign, and direct work for the assigned shift, interviewing and training employees, while interfacing with facility departments and the production schedule to maintain commitments. Improve production methods and equipment performance through continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, and 5S implementation. Provide timely analysis of key production indicators and resolve personnel issues through the progressive disciplinary process.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to be exposed to caustic chemicals
- Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment
