Job Summary
Manage all aspects of manufacturing operations for assigned 12-hour night shifts, including meeting safety, quality, line efficiency, yield, cost per case, and customer service goals. Supervise 10+ hourly employees through hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, training, performance evaluations, and schedule maintenance. Enforce safety, sanitation, and housekeeping regulations while resolving technical problems with cross-functional teams. Review material transactions, complete production work orders, and report food safety or quality issues to personnel with authority. Requires high school diploma or GED, with preferred associates degree and 3-5 years supervisory experience in food or packaged goods manufacturing. Rotation includes two days off every three days.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in a production setting
- Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry and/or high speed packaged consumer goods manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience in department cost control and budget management
- Excellent Leadership capability - ability to motivate and influence others
- Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma experience
- Must be able to work 12-hour nights (6:00pm-6:30am)
- Must be able to work 2-2-3 rotation of days off
- Must be able to work in constant exposure to extreme loud noises
- Must be able to work with constant standing and moving by foot
- Must be able to work in constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment
- Must be able to work in high places and near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to frequently lift/carry <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers
- Must be able to frequently reach/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
- Must be able to occasionally lift >50 pounds
- Must be able to have potential exposure to caustic chemicals
