Job Summary
Lead and develop the shift superintendents, gatekeeper, and shutdown/turnaround coordinator to ensure safe and efficient TAN plant operations, coordinating interface between operations, maintenance, and projects; manage risks per Yara guidance; drive continuous improvement; residential role based in Karratha with housing provided, 5 weeks annual leave and a relocation allowance; reports to Production Manager YPN; role requires leadership, coordination across teams, and strong safety culture; 10+ years’ experience in chemical/petrochemical environments and PTW/MoC proficiency; requires English fluency; Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Process Plant Operations
- Chemical Engineering degree (desirable) or equivalent knowledge
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in chemical or petrochemical industry (preferably within Nitric Acid and/or Ammonium Nitrate environments)
- Proven experience leading or coordinating operations teams in a high-risk processing environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Extensive experience with Permit to Work (PTW) and Management of Change (MoC) systems
- Experience using SAP or similar systems
- Fluent English (verbal and written)
- Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
