Production Stuffing Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Operate stuffing machines including Multivac, Circle 40, Shrink Tunnel, and Velocity to ensure quality standards, schedule attainment, and line efficiency. Set up workstations, load film, adjust sealing temperatures and speeds, and perform metal detection and QA checks such as weight counts and oxygen tests. Direct team members during downtime, manage machine changeovers for allergen sanitization, and clear jams while maintaining housekeeping and safety protocols. Record production weights, batch numbers, and spice usage; monitor output against hourly targets and report malfunctions to supervisors. Work the 3rd shift with 8-hour days, possible overtime, and Saturday work, transitioning from 2nd shift training over 6-9 months.
Required Qualifications
- High School (minimum)
- Must be able to lift 25lbs - 35lbs frequently and 40lbs - 50lbs occasionally
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Ability to read specs and BOMs
- Ability to understand weights and use basic math
- Ability to use calculator and basic math skills
- Ability to make quick and proper decisions
- Ability to see packages and recognize quality
- Speak, Read, Write & understand English, record numbers
- Understanding and compliance with all GMPs (OJT)
- Understanding and compliance with all personal safety rules (OJT)
- Ability to work with other people in a cooperative manner
- Ability to use discretion/judgment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Trouble shooting and mechanical ability
- Lock-Out Tag-Out Certified (OJT)
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months manufacturing experience preferred
- Pallet Jack experience preferred
- Familiarity with HACCP (OJT)
- Familiarity with SQF preferred
- Other Food Safety, Quality, Technical, and Regulatory Training as needs determine appropriate
