Production Stage Manager - Monster Jam

Job Summary
Direct supervisor of touring safety officials, stagehands, audio/video production staff, and related event personnel while overseeing technical operations and logistical coordination for Monster Jam shows. Conduct advanced planning for engagements including local labor, catering, venue relations, and performance/tear-down of all production elements. Manage movement of show equipment between cities with corporate transportation, arrange purchasing of production supplies, and submit tech and safety reports to Monster Jam Operations. Implement the Feld Entertainment Safety and Health Program and adhere to corporate best practices. Requires an associate degree or three years related experience, union negotiation skills, and 90-100% domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree, or one to three years related experience, or equivalent combination of training, education and or experience
- A thorough understanding of Monster Jam show operations, or related experience with other traveling family entertainment shows
- Experience working with, supervising, and negotiating with unions (e.g. IATSE) and labor companies
- Understanding of theatrical terms and directions
- Valid driver's license and passport
- The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 90-100% of the time
- The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift 50lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience working with chain-hoists, rigging equipment, electricity, scenic elements, stage sets, props, lighting systems, costumes and sound equipment preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and a variety of computer programs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work under high pressure and quick deadlines
