Job Summary
Solder electronic components, wiring harnesses, and install SAW devices onto PCBs following MIL-STD 883 and J-STD standards. Assemble modules by installing PCBs into cases and fabricate cable and connector assemblies while adhering to ESD protocols. Perform quality inspections of components and assemblies before and after tasks, documenting results in the Work Order Event Database and reporting discrepancies to management. Sign off on travelers and move completed products to Inventory or the Test department. Complete these duties with minimal supervision while participating in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing assembly and soldering tasks
- Experience using a microscope
- Experience using Microsoft Windows, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate well in English, both verbal and written
- Hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing, materials, and processing
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals at all levels
- US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3)
Desired Qualifications
- IPC J-STD-001 certification
- Experience using a magnification lamp
- Knowledge of or experience using Lean manufacturing
