Job Summary
Production Specialist in Columbia, SC, responsible for developing, maintaining and improving assembly processes, coordinating with Quality Engineers on process improvement, driving production schedules and addressing process-related issues. Collaborates with development labs for new product introduction, assists in safety compliance (ISO and business controls), provides production-ready documentation (MPIs) with setup programs, leads efficiency improvements, and supports operators through setup, calibration, and troubleshooting. Requires hands-on experience with assembly requirements, strong documentation and communication skills, and the ability to monitor equipment performance and perform maintenance under supervision. The role emphasizes process improvement, equipment setup, quality checks, and collaboration with manufacturing support to implement changes.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in small group situations
- Requires understanding of and ability to use a wide variety of tools
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Demonstrates advanced technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing line techniques
