Job Summary
Assist in daily production and care of live insect colonies by performing husbandry tasks, handling insects safely, and operating packaging equipment. Maintain clean, sanitary work areas while monitoring inventory levels and reporting concerns to leadership. Adhere strictly to production schedules, safety procedures, and biosecurity protocols to ensure consistent quality standards. Report equipment issues or process deviations immediately. Work full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, in a hot, humid, and dusty environment requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work with urgency while maintaining quality standards
- Comfort working in hot, humid, and dusty conditions
- Ability to safely handle and work directly with live insects
- Full-time, consistent weekly schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
