Job Summary
Assemble automotive seating units on the production line while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Perform line assembly and support operations using hand-held pneumatic tools, torque guns, and assembly fixtures to fasten parts together. Rotate through various workstations, build parts according to Operator Description Sheets, and restock work areas to ensure proper workflow. Control processing and installation of nonconforming products until deficiencies are corrected, while monitoring material quantities and reporting shortages. Complete assembly tasks involving walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and bending to move product through the build process. Work the 2nd shift from 8:30 PM to Sunday through Thursday until finished.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to stand for at least 2 hours at a time
- Ability to lift and/or carry seating components frequently
- Use of hand-held pneumatic tools
- Operation of assembly fixtures
- Bolt, clip, screw, or otherwise fasten parts together
- Knowledge of the product and processes
- Sound judgment
- Problem solving of workplace issues
- Quality inspections of work in progress
- Complete assembly of automotive seating units
- Perform line assembly and/or support operations
- Build parts in a specified manner according to the Operator Description Sheets
- Develop proficiency in all production job functions
- Rotate in job cell into various workstations
- Control processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
- Restock work areas as needed to ensure proper workflow
- Monitor production material quantities and report shortages
- Maintain good housekeeping, safety, quality and efficiency standards
- Work 2nd shift hours 8:30 PM - Sun-Thu
- Work until finished
