Job Summary
Plan and schedule all production activities by creating and releasing job work orders for travelers to production. Maintain level and efficient capacity loads across all work centers using the ERP system while coordinating with Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, and Purchasing to balance demand with available resources. Create and maintain a long-range build plan forecasting production levels for the coming three-month period based on current sales backlog and forecasted orders. Monitor new project startups, analyze work center loads, and generate weekly reports to identify imbalances and suggest adjustments to manage and balance workloads. Release a weekly plant schedule by the work center and distribute it to respective supervisors, ensuring required products are completed on time.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years experience in an operations role in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years scheduling specific experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ERP software
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to express oneself professionally utilizing both verbal and written communications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate within a multi-departmental team
- Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
