Production Scheduling Manager

Job Summary
Manage production schedules by analyzing incoming order requirements, monitoring materials inventories, and tracking progress to ensure optimal manufacturing efficiencies. Direct staffing, training, and performance management to improve the scheduling function while collaborating with Operations to forecast labor overtime. Monitor daily back-log business reports to assess workload and capacity, communicating conflicts and status updates to stakeholders during daily meetings. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the scheduling process and information flow. Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time in production or warehouse settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
- Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
- Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
- Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes
