Job Summary
Develop, update, and maintain detailed production schedules using company scheduling platforms and ERP systems to meet customer demands. Coordinate with production supervisors to track progress, identify constraints, and align workflows to minimize downtime. Monitor material availability with Purchasing to incorporate procurement lead times and supply constraints into plans. Continuously monitor production status to reflect real-time changes and sequence activities to optimize plant efficiency. Assist Project Managers in developing baselines, identify bottlenecks, and communicate schedule updates and risks to stakeholders. Requires 2–5+ years in production scheduling, experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. Located in Grand Prairie, TX, this role reports to the Director of Production Planning and Scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning (heavy manufacturing preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6) including resource loading capabilities
- A proficiency in scheduling techniques and principles, including the demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent computer skills and using Microsoft Excel and Word Software
- Ability to review and analyze schedules and changes to determine the impact on a project
- Strong oral and written communications skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, preferred
- Experience in pipe manufacturing or water/wastewater infrastructure products is a plus
