Job Summary
Read production orders to verify information, assist with setup and placement of production equipment, and work alongside state-of-the-art automated machinery. Use cleaning chemicals to sanitize and clean equipment and production areas while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. Communicate effectively and accurately within the team, maintaining a strong work ethic and positive attitude in a cold, loud refrigerated environment. Perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software, and complete lock out tag out procedures as required. Forklift certification is available upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Sargento Production Sanitation Utility Experience
- 16 - 24 Hours/Week
- 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 10:30pm, Monday & Wednesday
- E/O Saturday as needed
- Punctual
- Self-starter
- Professional work ethic in both a team environment as well as individually
- Willingness to take direction
- Ability to work with hands
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude
- Ability to learn new skills
- Currently enrolled in college, university or technical college
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Willingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire
- Ability to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required
- Lifting 50 lbs
- Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Ability to work in a loud environment
- Ability to work in wet, humid, damp conditions
