Job Summary
Lead and direct employees in saw and milling areas, supervising teammates who cut customer and stock orders from mold die steel and mill large bars. Perform ultrasonic and dry magnetic particle inspections per company procedures and customer specifications. Prioritize jobs, assign daily work, and adjust priorities to meet production schedules while verifying material identification, dimensions, and order accuracy. Coordinate material flow to ensure completed work moves efficiently to the next operation and maintain accurate production and inspection records. Coach staff on safe work practices, quality expectations, and equipment operation, stopping work when unsafe conditions or quality issues are identified. Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the shop floor.
Required Qualifications
- Level II certified UT inspector
- qualified to perform dry MPI inspections
- Experience in a manufacturing, saw, machine shop, material handling, inspection, or related production environment
- Ability to lead employees, assign work, set priorities, and follow up on daily production needs
- Ability to read and understand work orders, specifications, inspection requirements, measurements, and production documentation
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, traceability, documentation, and housekeeping standards
- Ability to communicate clearly with operators, material handlers, quality, maintenance, sales, and other departments
Desired Qualifications
- Prior supervisory, lead, or coordinator experience in a production environment
- Experience with saw operations, milling equipment, mold die steel, heavy material handling, production records, or cross-department workflow
- Experience coordinating material movement, production priorities, inspection requirements, or follow-up items between departments
